Companies Hold Over 1.1 Million Bitcoins, Strategy Leads

By: bithub.pl|2026/08/23 08:01:00

The ten largest public companies collectively hold approximately 1.096 million BTC, with all public companies accumulating over 1.1 million Bitcoins. Strategy is the clear leader with about 840.4 thousand BTC, making it a symbol of corporate strategy based on BTC. In 2026, its reserves exceeded 846 thousand BTC, despite Saylor selling some of the holdings in recent weeks. The second place is held by Twenty One Capital with around 43.5 thousand BTC, and the third by Metaplanet with about 43 thousand BTC. The increase in corporate activity raises questions about the decentralization of Bitcoin. Although no single company controls the network, an increasing portion of the supply is ending up in the hands of large entities, which could impact the market's structure and liquidity. The concentration of assets enhances the significance of decisions made by the largest holders, potentially leading to strong market reactions. The change may involve the institutionalization of the Bitcoin market, bringing it closer to traditional finance.
