DeepSeek's New Funding Round Valuation Reaches $74 Billion
DeepSeek is expected to be valued at 500 billion yuan, approximately $74 billion, in its new funding round. The Chinese AI startup anticipates revenues of 475 million yuan by July 2026, which is ten times the total for 2025. During the same period, net losses are projected to decrease to 715 million yuan, down from 935 million yuan in 2025, while exceeding the annual revenue estimate of $400 million to $500 million. The overall gross margin stands at 44.6%, with the gross margin for API access business reaching 82.9%. The next funding round aims for 50 billion yuan, with participants including Monolith, Shixiang Capital, and CATL, while potential new investors include CPE, Legend Capital, and Stony Creek Capital. DeepSeek is advancing preparations for its listing on the Shanghai Star Market, with applications expected to be submitted as early as the end of this year, targeting an IPO in 2027, although negotiations regarding the IPO have not yet been confirmed.
