Senate Democrats are circulating an unpublished poll showing negative views among Democratic primary voters towards cryptocurrency. Conducted by Normington Petts, the poll indicates that Democratic primary voters have a more favorable view of oil companies, Wall Street, and data center industries than of cryptocurrency. 84% of respondents expressed negative opinions about candidates who receive support from the crypto industry. Normington Petts stated that it surveyed 800 voters nationwide but did not disclose further details. Lawmakers are preparing for preliminary voting possibly next week, which will address key legislative demands regarding the crypto industry and permanent reforms on how federal agencies regulate digital assets. There remain divisions on issues such as illicit finance, stablecoin profits, and how to restrict elected officials like Trump from profiting from these matters.
