EY Han Young and Upstage Sign Agreement to Support Sovereign AI Adoption
EY Han Young and Upstage have signed a memorandum of understanding to support domestic companies in adopting Sovereign Artificial Intelligence (AI). The signing ceremony took place on the 24th at the EY Han Young office in Yeouido, Seoul, with the participation of Kim Soo-yeon, head of the EY AI Center, and Lee Hwal-seok, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Upstage. Sovereign AI refers to the construction of AI models considering data security and regulatory compliance. To respond to the demand for AI transformation (AX) in companies, the two parties agreed to collaborate on the following: sharing market and regulatory trends related to Sovereign AI, jointly discovering AI models based on Upstage's 'Solar', sharing AI adoption strategies and case studies, and supporting the adoption of Sovereign AI. EY Han Young operates the EY AI Center, which supports AI strategy formulation and technology validation, while Upstage focuses on document automation in industries such as insurance, finance, and healthcare. This agreement comes amid a trend where discussions on AI adoption are expanding to include security and regulatory aspects.
