Infineon Technologies has projected that sales of its AI data center power supply solutions will reach approximately €2.5 billion by fiscal year 2027. In its first-quarter earnings report for fiscal year 2026, the company stated that sales for this segment are expected to be around €1.5 billion for fiscal year 2026. Infineon also increased its investment plan for fiscal year 2026 from €2.2 billion to approximately €2.7 billion. CEO Jochen Hanebeck noted that the demand for power supply solutions for AI data centers is very high. Infineon recorded second-quarter sales of €3.812 billion, segment profit of €653 million, and a segment profit margin of 17.1%. AI data centers use power semiconductors to reliably distribute power, and Infineon is targeting efficiency improvement demands with products based on silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride. Infineon announced on May 29 that it has joined the NVIDIA MGX AI Factory ecosystem to support the power supply structure of next-generation AI server racks. Additionally, on July 13, it signed a memorandum of understanding with LS Electric to promote the development of high-efficiency direct current power infrastructure solutions. The projected €2.5 billion for fiscal year 2027 is based on the company's estimates, and actual sales may vary depending on the pace of AI data center construction and power semiconductor production capacity.
