Intertop Suffers 450 Million UAH Losses Due to Warehouse Destruction Near Kyiv

The losses for retailer Intertop resulting from the destruction of its main logistics complex by a Russian attack amount to 450 million UAH. CEO of Intertop Ukraine, Sergey Badritdinov, stated that it is impossible to fully compensate for such losses. The company is focused on restoring inventory, restructuring logistics processes, and ensuring the stable operation of stores, the website, and the mobile app. The destroyed inventory included current collections and new arrivals for the autumn-winter season. The loss of goods and logistics capacities will negatively impact the pace of network development, which may lead to a revision of some planned new store openings. Diversification of inventory helped avoid larger losses. Badritdinov proposed introducing a mechanism for compensating confirmed losses, providing preferential financing, and simplifying regulatory burdens. He also noted the need to create equal taxation conditions for Ukrainian companies and foreign marketplaces. It is worth mentioning that on the night of August 5, a Russian attack destroyed the Intertop and Pandora warehouses near Kyiv.
