JPMorgan: European Stock Markets May Continue to Lag Globally During AI-Led Market

Fabio Bassi, head of cross-asset strategy at JPMorgan, stated that as long as artificial intelligence remains the main theme in the market, the performance of European stock markets may continue to lag behind other major global markets. He pointed out that Europe faces structural headwinds such as high policy rates, elevated energy prices, and low productivity. However, from a medium-term macroeconomic perspective, there are still supportive factors for the European market, especially as Europe has a large number of export-oriented companies. In the context of a resilient global economy, European stock markets are expected to benefit from this situation.
