The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July could return to 2% or exceed it, according to various consultancies. Fundación Libertad y Progreso estimates an inflation rate of 2.1%, while EcoGo agrees with this projection, although it does not yet have data from the last week. Econviews projects a CPI of 2%, and Analytica anticipates 1.9%. C&T Asesores measured an inflation rate of 1.9% for Greater Buenos Aires, highlighting that tourism accelerated due to winter vacations and the World Cup. The only consultancy that recorded a slowdown was Equilibra, with a projection of 1.8%. Increases in Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages are explained by the rise in vegetable prices and the depreciation of the peso, which has increased the dollar by 6% since May. In July, food prices rose by 2.4%. It is expected that in the second half of the year, prices will return to a path of disinflation, remaining below 2% monthly.
