Kenya Places 30 Million Diplomas on the Avalanche Blockchain

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced the placement of over 30 million academic records on the Avalanche network to combat fake diplomas. This project aims to ensure the authenticity of certificates, including records dating back to 1989. Each issued certificate is recorded on the blockchain, allowing for instant verification by authorized third parties. The system covers certificates from the KCPE and KCSE, as well as university diplomas and teacher qualifications. Currently, over 15 million diplomas are already registered, with a target of 30 to 35 million. The adoption by employers and institutions will determine the long-term success of this initiative.
