LG Electronics plans to launch a next-generation humanoid robot in the first quarter of 2027. This robot will be based on the NVIDIA robotics platform and will have bipedal walking capabilities. It will be equipped with the NVIDIA Jetson Thor robotics chip module and developed using the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T humanoid robot foundational model and the Holoscan for Robotics safety system. LG will integrate technologies from its major subsidiaries, including actuators from LG Electronics, sensors from LG Innotek, and batteries from LG Energy Solution. Additionally, LG Electronics and NVIDIA will engage in comprehensive collaboration across three key areas: robotics, AI factories, and mobile mobility.
