Luxembourg Allocates €8 Million for Ukraine's Energy Sector

Luxembourg has directed €8 million to the Fund for Supporting Ukraine's Energy Sector, increasing the total contribution to €30 million. These funds will be used to purchase equipment for energy companies and strengthen the resilience of Ukraine's energy system. First Deputy Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal thanked the Luxembourg government for its assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector. The fund was established in spring 2022 to restore energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. Since the fund's inception, it has received over €2 billion in grant funding from 39 donors across 26 countries. The fund has become a key support mechanism, enabling rapid financing for equipment purchases and the restoration of facilities. Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has received 4,593 units of energy equipment and expects an additional 1,206 units to be delivered.
