Ministry of Infrastructure Denies Border Collapse with 7,000 Trucks

The Ministry of Infrastructure stated that reports of a queue of more than 7,000 trucks at the border do not correspond to the operation principle of "eQueue." The figure in the system shows the number of vehicles that have pre-registered to cross the border, not those actually standing in front of the checkpoints. Carriers book a spot in the electronic queue in advance, and the driver can be at home or at a designated area at any time. The increase in waiting times at certain checkpoints with Poland is related to new customs procedures introduced by the Polish side. The rise in registrations is also explained by seasonality: by the end of summer, the demand for international transport traditionally increases. In August 2025, more than 5,000 trucks were registered in the queue. The Ministry of Infrastructure noted that linking the increase in registrations in "eQueue" to the operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor is incorrect, as the main cargoes of maritime exports differ from those transported by road. It was reported yesterday that queues for exiting Ukraine have increased by almost 48%, reaching 7,342 vehicles, with the maximum load at the checkpoint "Yahodyn - Dorohusk," where the waiting time for trucks is nearly 7 days.
