OpenFX Acquires Global Ledger to Launch Multi-Currency Account Services

OpenFX has announced the acquisition of Global Ledger, with founder Tyler McIntyre taking on the role of head of banking and launching multi-currency account services. McIntyre co-founded the neobank Novo, which serves over 300,000 businesses and is valued at over $700 million. The account allows customers to make payments in local currencies, enabling companies to hold funds directly without the need for immediate conversion. OpenFX has initially launched a USD account that can receive and send funds to over 100 countries via ACH, Fedwire, and SWIFT, and supports instant connections with stablecoins like USDC.
