BlockBeats News, December 11, Paxos co-founder and CEO Chad Cascarilla stated at the Solana Breakpoint Conference that Paxos has applied to the U.S. SEC to become a clearing agency. In the future, Paxos will be able to directly custody and on-chain native issue stocks and bonds, allowing users to hold real underlying assets rather than derivatives. He emphasized that this will lay a crucial foundation for the large-scale on-chainization of traditional financial assets.

Cascarilla mentioned that Paxos aims to drive traditional assets into the on-chain environment and continue expanding in the stablecoin and asset tokenization field, including the growth of USDG and gold tokenization products. He believes that public chains will become a globally unified asset trading venue, significantly enhancing market accessibility and liquidity.
