Shibarium Chain ID 109 RPC Address Updated
The RPC address for Shibarium Chain ID 109 has been officially updated to the endpoint in the Ethereum Chain Registry. The ethereum-lists/chains repository on GitHub changed the RPC address to https://rpc.shibarium.shib.io through PR #8699 on September 12. The previous RPC address rpc.shibrpc.com is no longer connected. The new official RPC and shib.nownodes.io have been registered in the registry. According to the official Shiba Inu documentation, the network name for Shibarium is Shibarium, the chain ID is 109, and the currency symbol is BONE. This change is part of technical infrastructure maintenance and does not alter the consensus structure or token issuance system. RPC serves as the pathway for wallets and applications to access the blockchain to retrieve data and send transactions. According to the PR description, the new RPC returns 0x6d corresponding to chain ID 109 in JSON-RPC calls. The Shibarium explorer ShibariumScan shows a block indexing progress of 52%. There is no evidence that this RPC update has directly impacted the price or trading volume of Shiba Inu (SHIB). Shibarium users should verify that the registered RPC address matches the official documentation and ensure that each service reflects the new RPC address in their actual settings.
