Taurus and MPCH Partner for Crypto Asset Custody in the U.S.
Taurus and MPCH have entered into an agreement to develop an institutional custody infrastructure for crypto assets in the United States. The collaboration envisions the creation of a dedicated environment for Taurus within MPCH's high-security facilities. The agreement stipulates that MPCH will provide an exclusive secure area, supported by its secure infrastructure and managed services for Taurus's custody platform, which utilizes Hardware Security Modules (HSMs). Taurus will maintain control over its HSM technology and cryptographic operations, offering a physical deployment option for clients in the U.S. The company aims to serve banks, custodians, exchanges, and government agencies that require digital asset infrastructure, meeting data residency and operational resilience requirements. The companies emphasize the importance of post-quantum cryptography, allowing institutions to test new cryptographic methods without replacing the entire custody architecture. The deployment will include disaster recovery, enterprise-level physical security, and resilient network architecture. The timelines for deployment and the availability of services have not been disclosed.
