Tether Launches Decentralized Peer-to-Peer Cryptographic Key Management Tool PearPass

BlockBeats News, December 17th, Stablecoin issuer Tether announced the launch of PearPass, a peer-to-peer (P2P) password manager app, where all account credentials are only stored locally on users' devices, without going through cloud servers, fundamentally eliminating the risk of centralized data leakage.

Tether stated that PearPass adopts an end-to-end encryption and point-to-point synchronization architecture, where data synchronization between devices is fully controlled by user keys, without the need for third-party infrastructure or intermediaries. This product supports local credential storage, password generation, multi-device P2P synchronization, and a user-controlled key recovery mechanism, addressing the issue of traditional cloud-based password managers being targeted in attacks.

PearPass is the first open-source app under Tether's decentralized technology ecosystem Pears, aimed at providing a more censorship-resistant and resilient digital security infrastructure, and is now freely available for mainstream platforms.
