Tether generated approximately 1.5 billion net operating profit in Q2 2026, increasing its reserve surplus to over 4.11 billion. The company ended the quarter with 187.75 billion in total assets against 183.64 billion in liabilities. Tether reduced its secured lending exposure by about 2.38 billion, a 15% decline from the previous quarter, while USDT circulation rose to approximately 184.6 billion, 446 million higher than the previous quarter. Tether's market share exceeded 60% despite a decline in overall stablecoin market capitalization. The company added 14 metric tons of physical gold, raising total gold holdings to over 146 tons, as part of its reserve strategy amid geopolitical uncertainty. CEO Paolo Ardoino noted that reserves exceeded liabilities by over 4.11 billion, and the company expanded its global user base by more than 30 million users during the quarter. Tether continues to work towards a Big Four audit and enhance its financial infrastructure as regulatory scrutiny increases in the stablecoin market.
