Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, the show is the third most-watched non-English web series worldwide on Netflix this week. One Tamil film and one Hindi film also made it to the weekly list of most-watched non-English films on Netflix for the week ending May 11. The Hindi web series The Royals and Tamil film Good Bad Ugly made their debuts on the platform as well as the list last week. The Hindi film Jewel Thief The Heist Begins made it to the list for the third consecutive week this time. The Royals recorded three million views and 1.7 million watch-hours in three days since it released on May 9. It ranks third on Netflix’s list of most-watched non-English shows for the week ending May 11. The show also made it as the most-watched show in seven countries including India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Mauritius, UAE, and Oman. The Royals ranked among top 10 most-watched shows on the platform in 43 countries across the globe. Directed by Nupur Ashthana and Priyanka Ghose, The Royals features Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar along with Zeenat Aman, Chunky Panday, Sakshi Tanwar, and Sumukhi Suresh play lead roles. Milind Soman, Nora Fatehi and Dino Morea make special appearances in the show. Pednekar essays the role of an ambitious and feisty CEO of a startup – Work Potato – while Khatter plays a prince in the show. Neha Veena Sharma has written the show produced under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications. The Royals is the brainchild of Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy. Netflix global top 10: Good Bad Ugly Indian star Ajith Kumar on a poster of the Tamil film ‘Good Bad Ugly’. The Tamil film Good Bad Ugly made its debut on Netflix on May 8 and ranks eighth among most-viewed non-English films worldwide on the platform for the week ending May 11. It registered 2.6 million views and 6 million watch hours on the platform. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran ( Trisha Illana Nayanthara ), Good Bad Ugly is the story of a retired gangster who gets back to his murky life after his son is wrongfully convicted. The film marks the first Tamil production for Mythri Movie Makers. Ajith Kumar features in the film along with Trisha Krishnan, Sunil Prabhu, Prasanna, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Tinnu Anand and Arjun Das. Jewel Thief The Heist Begins features on the Netflix global top 10 list for the third time in a row since it landed on the platform on April 25. Securing 2.1 million views and 4.2 million watch hours, the film ranked on the ninth slot on Netflix’s latest weekly list of most-watched non-English films across the globe. It also ranked among the top 10 most-watched films in nine countries worldwide. The film retained the third spot on the list for the past two weeks. Last week, it registered 8.3 million views and 16.3 million watch hours on Netflix. In its debut week, Jewel Thief The Heist Begins recorded 7.8 million views and 15.4 million watch hours on the platform. Jewel Thief The Heist Begins features Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor Saif Ali Khan, and Nikita Dutta in lead roles. The film is directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. The film revolves around Ahlawat, a mafia boss Rajan Aulakh and Khan – the cool thief Rehan Roy. They team up for grand heist even as a cop (Kapoor) chases the thief with all his might and skills.
