Victoria Cantero Provided the Cell Phone Password of Matías Álvarez Guardia to the Prosecutor's Office

Victoria Cantero, arrested following the death of her boyfriend Matías Álvarez Guardia, was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office and provided the password for the victim's cell phone. Álvarez Guardia's family had handed over the device to prosecutor Ana González de Pacce. Cantero, who had expressed her intention to cooperate, confirmed that she knew the password to allow for the phone's forensic examination. Additionally, she reaffirmed lawyer Lucas Bosch after Marco Molero resigned due to a conflict of interest. Cantero was taken to the Eleventh Police Station in Resistencia and is expected to be housed in the Women's Penitentiary Unit in the Don Santiago neighborhood. Prosecutor Ana González de Pecce reported that Cantero acknowledged causing the stab wounds that led to Álvarez Guardia's death. In a press conference, it was revealed that upon arriving at the hospital, Cantero admitted to a police officer that she was the one who stabbed the 29-year-old, which contradicts her lawyer's defense strategy, who had advised her not to make a statement during her first appearance before the court.
