Virtuals Experiments with Revenue Structure of 40,000 AI Agents
The Virtuals protocol is experimenting with a structure that shares the cash flow generated by AI agents with token holders. As of the 30th, the total number of agents exceeds 40,000, with a total market capitalization of $72.6 million and a trading volume of $138 billion over the past 30 days. Agents perform tasks and deliver results, operating in a way that shares the profits generated during the process with token holders. Virtuals aims to create a 'society of productive AI agents' by providing agents with identity, wallets, and payment functionalities. Commerce is handled by the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP), which conducts work proposals and result verification on-chain. The token issuance structure is divided into Pegasus, Unicorn, and Titan, with a creation fee of 1,000 VIRTUAL. Through a 60-day framework, founders validate demand before deciding on sustainability. However, concerns have been raised within the community regarding fake tokens and contract imitation, and the experiment at the intersection of AI and crypto is gaining attention.
