BlockBeats News, February 21st, Ethereum founder Vitalik stated that AI governance is dystopian: weak AI leads to chaos, while strong AI results in catastrophic consequences. However, if AI is used properly, it can empower humans and drive the development of decentralized governance models.

The core issue of decentralized governance models (including DAOs on Ethereum) lies in the limitation of human attention: there is a need to make thousands of decisions involving numerous domains, and most people neither have the time nor the ability to become an expert in any of these domains, let alone all of them. The usual solution is delegation, but this actually weakens power. Individual LLM can be used to address the attention problem, as follows:

Personal Governance Proxy: If a governance mechanism requires users to make numerous decisions, a personal proxy can vote on behalf of the user based on inferred preferences from personal writing, chat logs, direct statements, etc.

Public Discourse Proxy: Making good decisions often cannot rely solely on a linear process, i.e., collecting people's self-reported views and averaging them (even quadratically). There is a need for a process that can aggregate information from many users and then allow each person (or their LLM) to respond based on that information.

Prediction Market: If a governance mechanism values any kind of "high-quality input" (whether proposals or arguments), a prediction market can be established. Anyone can submit input, and AI can bet on tokens representing that input. If the mechanism "accepts" that input, it will pay token holders X dollars.
