Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox posted on the Zcash community forum expressing his desire to activate the NSM smooth issuance mechanism ZIP-234 as soon as possible. He emphasized that regardless of whether a smooth issuance or a halving + smooth reissuance plan is adopted, smooth issuance is simpler to explain and understand, which helps to enhance public trust in Zcash. Regarding the timing of the reissuance activation, Zooko advocates for "a safe activation as soon as possible," believing that the earlier it is implemented and validated over time, the more trust can be accumulated through the Lindy effect. He is more inclined to support the voting proposal of "activation at the time of NU7."
