ZetaChain: Previously targeted vulnerability attacks did not result in user fund losses, mainnet patch has been deployed
ZetaChain suffered a targeted vulnerability attack, where the attacker obtained funds in advance through Tornado Cash and implemented wallet address deception. Ultimately, they exploited a vulnerability in the GatewayEVM arbitrary call function, resulting in approximately $334,000 in losses across four associated chains. ZetaChain stated that this attack did not affect cross-chain $ZETA transfers, and the affected wallets were all ZetaChain-controlled addresses, with no user funds lost. The mainnet patch has now been deployed, and cross-chain transactions will be reopened after continuous monitoring.
