Frutafruta (TSE: 2586) is a small-cap food company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth market built almost entirely around açaí — importing the Amazonian berry from Brazil and selling it through retail, food-service (B2B) and e-commerce channels. Japan's superfood boom rescued the business: fiscal 2025 (ended March 2025) saw sales more than double and a return to profit. Warrant dilution — the dominant grievance. The balance-sheet repair (net assets up 139%) was funded by the exercise of stock acquisition rights (warrants), and posters repeatedly criticize management for growing the share count. The financial recovery is real; so is the resentment about how it was financed.
Penny-stock fatigue. Self-deprecating posts about the share price sitting back in the double digits.
Seasonality worry. Açaí demand is summer-weighted, and posters ask what happens to the story once summer ends.

Trading volume spiked roughly 85% and 70% on July 13 and 16 around the Sizzler news, then faded. The next earnings report (Q1 FY3/2027) is expected around August 14, 2026, and summer is peak açaí season.

How to read the stock

The 2026 range: a high of ¥169 on January 20, a low of ¥78 on May 27, and ¥92 as of July 17 (down 8.0% that day). Market cap is about ¥9.4 billion, price-to-book 1.34x, forecast P/E roughly 95x, and there is no dividend (as of July 2026). Bulls point to the superfood tailwind, television exposure, the widening B2B channel and the clean balance sheet. Bears counter that a ~95x forecast P/E resting on ¥83 million of net profit leaves no room for error, that the dilution overhang persists, and that the seasonal peak eventually passes. No price target is offered here; this is a thin-float stock whose price moves tend to outrun its news.
