The AI Fund Situational Awareness has informed investors that it is not currently accepting new capital. The fund has experienced significant losses due to a sharp decline in AI-related stocks and is seeking new capital injections. Despite the substantial losses, the image of founder Leopold Aschenbrenner remains unaffected in Silicon Valley, where he is viewed as an opportunity for "buying the dip," attracting support from many investors. Veteran venture capitalist Elad Gil has publicly announced his first application to invest in the fund. Additionally, Morgan Stanley plans to include Situational Awareness as a prime brokerage client in the coming weeks, reversing its previous stance of refusing to provide prime brokerage services.
