LG CNS Builds AI Drug Development Platform for Dong-A Socio Group
LG CNS has established an AI drug development platform that integrates research data from Dong-A Socio Group, supporting the entire process from candidate substance discovery to validation. On the 12th, LG CNS announced that it built the platform in collaboration with DAI, the IT subsidiary of Dong-A Socio Group, over approximately six months. The platform connects data from disease cause analysis, candidate substance design, and validation stages through AI analysis. In the disease cause analysis stage, AI analyzes gene information by cell type and positional information within tissues to identify therapeutic targets. In the candidate substance design stage, generative AI designs new molecular structures, while in the validation stage, the potential binding between candidate substances and therapeutic targets is predicted through virtual simulations. The system is designed to continuously link AI prediction results with actual experimental data, enhancing prediction accuracy. LG CNS has established a management system that meets relevant regulations and security requirements, and this development serves as a case study for the AI transformation research sector of Dong-A Socio Group, with the AI drug development platform and AI strategic purchasing system presented as key projects. LG CNS plans to expand its AX business through an AI platform specialized in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
