xAI's Grok Could Outperform OpenAI and Anthropic if Space Data Centers are Successfully Deployed
Joel Shulman, co-founder of investment firm ERShares, stated that if xAI successfully deploys data centers in space, its AI model Grok could establish a stronger competitive moat than Anthropic and OpenAI. Shulman believes that xAI's strategic integration of artificial intelligence, aerospace infrastructure, and satellite communications could create a unique advantage, positioning space computing infrastructure as a new frontier in AI competition and providing xAI with a long-term barrier distinct from traditional AI companies. Shulman also expressed optimism about SpaceX's growth potential, asserting that its long-term value in commercial space and satellite communications exceeds that of Tesla. As the demand for AI computing power continues to rise, companies that control energy, computing infrastructure, and data transmission networks may gain an advantage in the next phase of AI competition.
